Whether you are interested in community-led design, urban biodiversity and net gain, environmental education, timber frame construction, engineering, maritime heritage, volunteering, social prescribing, live music or inspiring exhibitions, this year’s Cody Dock Summertide promises to be a voyage of discovery!
Highlights include:
- Your River Lea photographic exhibition
- Guided tours of Cody Dock’s Barn, a new multi-use arts venue and the beautiful timber framed ‘Growing Space’
- Lighting Up the Lea’ heritage workshop
- This year’s live music stage is in collaboration with Newham’s Flotsam Sessions
- Last and by no means least we will be rolling our multi-award winning Cody Dock Rolling Bridge and our Riverside Cafe & Bar will be serving home-made food and locally produced ales.

12 pm: Event open, bar/café/bakery
12:30 – 4 pm: Workshops (Candle rolling, seed packet making, Cody Dock family map & more TBC)
1 pm: River of Hope schools poetry competition announcements
2:30 pm: Bridge roll
3 pm: Mini beast safari
Time TBC: Live music with Flotsam Sessions
Throughout the day: Walks and tours, DJ Badly Wired in the Hot Tub Stage

How to get to Cody Dock
DLR Station
Star Lane Please note on Saturday, June 3rd 2023 there are planned engineering works on the DLR between Prince Regent to Beckton.
Tube Station
Canning Town (Jubilee Line). If walking from Canning Town Station, the quickest way is to walk down Manor Rd, then Cody Rd.
Bus Routes
323, South Crescent Business Centre (Stop H or J) or 276, Star Lane Station (Stop L)
Parking
Please be advised that street parking Monday- Saturday 8 am – 6.30 pm is paid by phone with a max stay of 4 hours.
Using public transport is highly advised as street parking is restricted and spaces are limited.
