Join us on Saturday July 13th at 11 am a short talk and then a hands-on workshop where we’ll learn how to make nettle cordage from scratch at Cody Dock. Learn all about the ancient art of making cordage from nettles with our resident ethnobotanist, The Urban Crone. Discover the traditional techniques and practical uses of this sustainable material.

This event is perfect for nature lovers, craft enthusiasts, and anyone curious about traditional skills. Come prepared to get your hands dirty (but not stung) and leave with a newfound appreciation for the versatility of nettles.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with history, nature and learn a valuable skill. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot in advance. Suitable for adults and older children.
