Learn to make traditional willow and hazel hurdles with Alistair Hayhurst from Underwood Crafts. Come find out more about using both willow and split hazel to make woven hurdles which are both elegant and beautiful.

The workshop will be a hands-on activity and by the end of the day you will have made and installed both willow and hazel hurdles in a local wildlife strip on the industrial estate adjoining Cody Dock. These hurdles will form part of our ongoing urban wildlife conservation efforts.

Please be aware that this workshop will require moderate physical fitness and will involve using hand tools under supervision. All instruction will be provided.
