Learn to make traditional cleft fencing with Alistair Hayhurst from Underwood Crafts. Come find out more about using chestnut posts and rails to create beautiful fencing that is perfectly sympathetic to the natural environment within which it sits.

The workshop will be a hands-on activity and by the end of the day you will have installed some cleft fencing in a local wildlife strip on the industrial estate adjoining Cody Dock. This fencing will form part of our ongoing urban wildlife conservation efforts.

Please be aware that this workshop will require moderate physical fitness and will involve using hand tools under supervision. All instruction will be provided.
