Speaker Bios

Bi-Curious George

Bi-Curious George is a London-based Drag King and the creator of Queer Planet: the 5 star drag-theatre show that shatters the heteronormative lens through which we view the natural world. Using silliness, joy and camp tomfoolery, his work centres around queer ecology; queerness in the natural world.

Evie Crouch

Evie Crouch is an Environmental Educator and Campaigner working to help connect people and nature in East London. Coming from a background in Ecology, I wish to share my passion for the natural world with others to help to advocate for environmental awareness and action, in my role as Education Manager at Cody Dock, Organiser for UK Youth for Nature, and a Ranger for London National Park City.

Connor Butler

Connor Butler is the former Head of Learning and Public Engagement at Chelsea Physic Garden. Connor is a Queer ecologist with a specialism in dung beetles and insects. With an aim to help Londoners see “ordinary” wildlife from new perspectives, Connor encourages everyone to take time to appreciate the smallest details in nature and to show love for the often unloved creatures on our diverse planet.

Alisa Graham-Brown

Alisa Graham-Brown records and monitors the health of key taxonomic groups (with a focus on plants) as part of the Cody Dock Ecology and Community Science team. This includes working on habitat enhancement projects whilst also creating opportunities for local people to engage in conservation work and nature connection on the industrial tidal Lea. When not wearing their Ecology hat, Alisa works as a sustainable food grower and educator within mental health organisations and community green spaces across London.

Gino Brignoli

Gino Brignoli is the Biodiversity Officer at Cody Dock. An ecologist and entomologist working in community science, urban ecology and adult learning. When Gino isn’t monitoring the amazing biodiversity of the area, he is working with local communities and organisations to improve habitats for wildlife and people.
