Calling all KS2 classes in Newham and Tower Hamlets: Come and celebrate International Women’s Day at Cody Dock!
It is so important that we celebrate the fabulous women who have helped to shape our world and those who continue to do so today…
In this fun and interactive session, we’ll use creative tasks to discover how historic female scientists were trailblazers in both art and STEM by providing amazing contributions to science with their illustrations and paintings. We’ll get a chance to create our own scientific drawings and learn about the ways women are taking a leading role in STEM today! We will also find out about women who made a huge impact locally like Sylvia Pankhurst, an inspirational figure in Newham & Tower Hamlets who established the East London Suffragette movement. As well as the determined women who formed the Matchgirls Workers Rights Union, just down the road from Cody Dock!
These sessions will run on the 5th, 6th & 7th March 2025, book now! Email [email protected] for more information and to book your trip.
