Common Threads workshop at Lighting up the Lea! Sign up now!
Saturday 20th September, 11 am, 1 pm & 3 pm
Free events
At our September Open Day we have an exciting opportunity to be a part of our next big community artwork!
Artist-in-Residence, Remiiya Badru will be joining us for a year-long commission, exploring the history and relationships that our local area has to Calico and Prussian Blue.
We will be inviting participants to share their own stories, inspired by items in the collection at the V & A East Storehouse, contributing to a big community artwork, interweaving everyone’s stories and identities together.
There will be three sessions running on the day – please note that this is not a drop-in workshop and is sign-up only.
Please follow the link above to sign up, or there will be a chance to sign up on the day with very limited available places.
The final hour of the day (5-6pm) will be left open for participants to finish their piece if they run out of time within their allocated sessions!
