Cody Dock wins 2 London in Bloom 2020 Awards

The London in Bloom (LiB) annual awards recognise the individuals and community groups who do most to improve the natural environment and make London a brighter place by keeping the capital blooming.

After winning Gold and Outstanding awards in previous years (2018 and 2019) with both our community gardens and work with local businesses, we are pleased to announce our gardens and community have been awarded again this year by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) London in Bloom Awards an Outstanding and a Gold award for our community gardening and neighbourhood partnerships to make the local area greener and cleaner. Thank you to everyone involved!

Outstanding in the category Community Gardening Award: Cody Road and South Crescent Business Group – meaning our new drought-resistant gravel garden was well-received along with the wider gardens cared for by our hard-working volunteers.

Gold in the category Our Community: Cody Rd & South Crescent In Bloom Business Group for joining forces with local businesses on the industrial estate to improve biodiversity and greenspace in South Crescent.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us and if you’d like to find out how to get involved, please email [email protected] or call 02074730429. We have a Gardening group on Wednesdays involved in re-wilding, planting, pruning, habitat creation/installation and improving biodiversity and greenspace in the estate. You can volunteer any day and time of the week, just let us know!
