Join Us to Build a Riverside Wildlife Garden at Cody Dock!
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10am-3pm (until end of May)
Help Us Create a Unique Urban Wildlife Refuge, sessions will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until end of May.
We’re building something special at Cody Dock- a Riverside Wildlife Garden designed to support the remarkable biodiversity found on England’s disappearing brownfield sites. These post-industrial landscapes, often overlooked, are home to hardy, pioneering species of plants and insects. By recreating this habitat, we’re not only preserving an essential ecosystem but also offering a new green space for people to enjoy.
Why It Matters:
- Support Urban Biodiversity
- Brownfield habitats are vanishing fast. This garden will serve as a crucial refuge for the resilient species that depend on them.
- Create a Nature Hub in the City
- Surrounded by industrial development, Cody Dock is committed to regeneration that celebrates nature. This garden will be a unique chance for locals and visitors to experience biodiversity up close.
- Give Back to the Community
- From peaceful walks to outdoor learning, this green space will provide a place for relaxation, inspiration, and connection.
- Build Climate Resilience
- With drought-tolerant species and low-maintenance design, this garden is built for the future – and the realities of our changing climate.
