Announcing the winners of the 2022 Your River Lea photography competition

Cody Dock has the pleasure to announce the winners of the 2022 Your River Lea photo competition!

Our Judges have selected twelve of the photographs to illustrate our 2023 Cody Dock Calendar which are available to pre-order online:

Pre-ordered 2023 calendars will be available to collect from the Cody Dock office anytime between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday and you can purchase a calendar from the Riverside Cafe anytime between 10 am – 3 pm Sunday- Friday.

Over the coming weeks we will be posting the winning 12 photos across our social media channels: please join us in sharing your artwork with the hashtag #YouRiverLea.

We will host the Photo Competition Exhibition Private View, which will be taking place on Thursday 23rd March 2023 and we will open the exhibition to the public on Sunday the 26th of March during the Spring Forward community event.

Deadline for entries: TBC (November 2023)
Themes: heritage, community, waterways & wildlife
Number of images per applicant: maximum of 3

Image files must be 300 dpi. They must not include watermarks, borders, or signatures. Black and white images are eligible.

Images can be submitted either via hard copy or a digital files.

Please upload your photos in the WeTransfer site and send them to [email protected]. Don’t forget to write a confirmation email with Cody Dock Photo Competition in the subject line and send it to the same email address.

Write your name, address, day/evening phone number and email address on the back of each photograph.  Unfortunately, entries cannot be returned.


  • All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. The image must have been created in the past three years, maximum.
  • By submitting photographs to this competition, you’re granting the charity Gasworks Dock Partnership unconditional rights to exhibit and reproduce your images within its own calendar, publications, advertising materials and social media.
  • Unless otherwise indicated, applicants will be notified via email if they have a winning entry. The exhibition will be free and all proceeds from the calendar will be spent on GDP’s educational and environmental programmes.
