Come join us and undertake MoRHp (Modular River Physical) river survey along the Lower River Lea at Cody Dock!

We are looking for volunteers to help us complete a new series of surveys that record the rivers physical habitats including: sediments, physical habitats, vegetation structure and human pressures and interventions across the bank tops, bank faces and bed.

This will provide us with data for monitoring the form and functioning of the river and how this changes in responses to our ongoing habitat restoration projects!

🌸What the volunteering opportunity will involve:

• A survey session along the banks of river Lea at designated locations
• Learning basic surveying techniques of MoRPh (Modular River Physical) river surveying
• Data collection and recording of our findings
• The creation of environmental data so we can keep track on the state of the river.

🍃What we’re looking for from our MoRPh survey volunteers:

• An interest in biodiversity/ecology/entomology
• This event is 18+ years only
• Bring a reusable water bottle and/or coffee cup, and a packed lunch or money for the cafe.
