Calling all potential Environmental Educators!
Ever wanted to work with kids in an outdoor setting but never had the chance? We’re looking for Environmental Volunteers to support us with our School and Youth Events in 2025.
Sign up to help deliver our regular school sessions and events from January 2025. Volunteers will be assisting the River of Hope project on-site with school groups in years 3-5. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays (9-2pm) where we’ll be running hands-on activities examining the dynamic wildlife and heritage found along the lower River Lea.
We’ll support your journey through safeguarding training, DBS checks and regular check ins. You’ll also be invited to join our online platform, receive regular newsletters with events and opportunities, take part in volunteer events and become part of the wider Cody Dock community.
We are offering complete flexibility with how much you would like to be involved, however please note we require a minimum commitment of 3 days across the initial programme period (Jan-March). You must also complete our training day on 13th December (details below). There will be potential for more engagement opportunities for volunteers after March.
About the River of Hope
The River of Hope is an arts-based learning project linking schools around the world through the study of rivers. River of Hope uses environmental learning and creative arts practices to help young people express their concerns about the environment. Through this programme, young people from around the world have been encouraged to think about the importance of safeguarding the future of their own natural environment.
About our Education Programme
