Curious about the plants that grow in urban spaces? Join our Biodiversity Officer as we survey the diverse communties of plant life growing on our urban riverbanks and verges. You will learn basic ID and recording skills, as well as meet likeminded plant lovers!

  • Plant ID books and hand lenses provided.
  • Please wear weather appropriate walking shoes and clothes.
  • We will be using the iNaturalist app to record our findings. If you would like to be involved, we reccomend downloading this free tool on your smartphone in advance. (Tablets with the app are available on request)

This in-person event is perfect for nature lovers, citizen scientists, and anyone curious about the incredible diversity and tenacity of urban flora.

How to get to Cody Dock

  • Cody Dock is a 6 minute walk from Star Lane DLR Station. The DLR is a fully accessible public transport network with step-free access into all stations. Use the Stephenson Street exit from Star Lane station (the exit to the left) when departing from the platform. 
  • Parking reserved for those with special access needs: On-site parking available upon request in advance. Please contact the event manager in advance. 

Please be advised that street parking Monday – Saturday 8 am – 6.30 pm is paid by phone with a max stay of 4 hours.
