We have a few hundred indigenous tree and hedgerow saplings to plant into some green spaces on the industrial estate surrounding Cody Dock. One of these spaces acts as a wild corridor and is home to mammal species such as Pipistrelle Bats and Wood Mice; birds including Woodpeckers, Tits, Robins, Wrens and Jays; and iconic insects such as Stag Beetles.

We aim to increase the tree and shrub cover in this area over the next 20 years to create more habitat for an even greater range of urban nature and create a woodland ride to be enjoyed by both people and wildlife.

Help us to plant as many tree saplings as possible while learning more about the urban ecology of the area. All are welcome. No experience is necessary and all tools and equipment will be provided.

We are grateful for the support of the Woodland Trust and The Conservation Volunteers who provided us with the saplings.
