A plant ID walk to take a look at many of the native, urban, and often overlooked plants that are with us all winter; or are beginning to emerge during the early part of February (a time often referred to in the ancient Celtic calendar as Imbolc).

We will cover plant and tree ID features, historical uses often stretching back to palaeolithic times, folklore and more common uses of plants such as weaving, dyes, foods and medicines.

Please wear appropriate clothing as we will be outdoors in February: wrap up well, wear waterproofs, bring an umbrella etc.
