We have few fantastic events coming up in April, and we need your amazing volunteer spirit to make them a success!

1. Bats & Belly Laughs: Celebrating Community! (April 5th, 5pm – 9:30pm)

Join us on Friday, April 5th from 5pm – 9:30pm for an evening of bat exploration, comedy, and community spirit! We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Stewarding the event
  • Guiding the bat walk on the industrial estate
  • Setting up and taking down equipment

2. Private Viewing (April 12th, 3pm – 9pm)

We’re hosting a private viewing event on Friday, April 12th, from 3pm – 9pm, and we need five enthusiastic volunteers to help out with:

  • Stewarding: Welcoming guests, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth flow for the event.
  • Setting up: Helping prepare the space before the event.
  • Cleaning up: Lending a hand after the event to pack everything away.

1. Spring Forward - open day (April 20th, 11am – 5pm)

Spring is almost here, and we’re gearing up for our biggest celebration yet – Spring Forward!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 20th, because this day will be jam-packed with fun activities for the whole community! Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect:

  • Engaging workshops: Learn new skills, get creative, and explore your interests.
  • Lively music: Enjoy performances from talented local musicians.
  • Delicious food: Sample a variety of tasty treats from local vendors.
  • Refreshing walks: Explore the beauty and history of our surroundings with guided walks.

To make this event a success, we need your amazing volunteer spirit!

Here are some ways you can contribute:

  • Set Up & Clear Up Crew: Lend a hand before and after the event to transform the space.
  • Stewards: Be a friendly face, answer questions, and help navigate the event for our guests.
  • Workshop Assistants: Support our workshop leaders and ensure a smooth learning experience for participants.

Volunteering at Spring Forward is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Give back to your community and make a positive impact.
  • Meet new people and connect with like-minded individuals.
  • Have fun in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
  • Learn new things by assisting with workshops.

2. Ecology Film Club: Rivercide (26 April, 6pm – 9pm)

The first screening from our new monthly ecology film club! We will be screening the George Monbiot documentary Rivercide followed by a talk on the state of London’s rivers by the London Waterkeeper, Theo Thomas.

3. City Nature Challenge 2024 (27 April, 10am – 3pm)

The annual City Nature Challenge BioBlitz is back. We will spend the day recording wildlife across the site, along the river, and Memorial Park.
