Gardening and Landscaping volunteering opportunities
We have plenty of opportunities to develop spaces and habitats helping to transform sites around Cody Dock and the local area by creating or improving communal greenspaces with benches, hanging baskets and signage showing what plants and animals are here. You can also get involved in planting out native trees/shrubs and creating features to promote foraging and habitat for local wildlife.
The community gardens require maintenance year round. These include permaculture, sensory, gravel, food growing, native hedge and ornamental gardens.
Sessions run on Wednesdays & Sundays 10:30am – 3pm. To book a place just send us an email to [email protected] and we’ll get back in touch!
No experience necessary – all sessions are facilitated by one of Cody Dock’s volunteer coordinators.
All Personal Protective Equipment provided.
Please note: due to the current circumstances surrounding covid-19 we have reduced groups maximum number of people to 6.
This work could not be possible without the funding from the Green Recovery Challenge Fund (Heritage Lottery, DEFRA, Environment Agency and Natural England), and The National Lottery Community Fund!
