Could you be an eco-changemaker?

If you’re aged 16-25 in Newham and Tower Hamlets, interested in nature, art and making a difference in your local area then this could be for you…

What is ‘Eco-changemakers’?

A fun and creative opportunity for 15 like-minded local young people. We’ll meet every Sunday for 10 weeks, starting with a series of workshops where you’ll be able to develop your knowledge of and skills in art, nature, sustainability and social action. We’ll then support you to create your own Eco-changemaker project over 4 sessions. This project could be a workshop, talk, performance, art piece (or something we haven’t thought of!) which you will present at our Spring Community Open Day at Cody Dock during the Easter holidays.

Why should I sign up to Eco-changemakers?

  • Achieve an AQA qualification in ‘Sustainability, social action and science communication’.
  • Meet like minded people in your local area.
  • Build your knowledge of local urban nature and topics around sustainability.
  • Develop skills in project planning & delivery, leadership, art, and science communication.
  • Participants will be paid (at London Living wage) for delivering their project at the Spring Community Open Day.

Other information:

  • Contribution to travel cost available for each session.
  • No prior skills or knowledge needed.
  • All abilities and needs are welcome and encouraged!
  • All kit and equipment needed throughout the programme will be provided.
