Following the recent government announcement of new COVID-19 guidelines, here is a quick summary setting out what this will mean if you are volunteering at Cody Dock, coming to enjoy the site, or thinking about volunteering for the first time:

•  Most importantly, the Cody Dock site and Riverside Cafe remain open to the public.

•  Visitors to the dock and our staff are strongly encouraged to wear face masks in all our communal areas.

•  We also ask that visitors and staff respect each others space and wherever possible to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter between themselves and others.

•  All indoor volunteering activities are on hold as of now, we will only continues to operate outdoor volunteering activities. This means Cody Makers will not be taking place this December, but dock restoration, environment & ecology, and gardening will continue as normal.

•  We are setting a limit of six volunteers for any session to facilitate safe social distancing practices, and will encourage mask wearing when appropriate. This means it is ever more important to email the relevant member of staff to confirm your place at each volunteering session (ie. Basia/Rosie).

We will of course review the situation in the light of any new government guidance. Any changes to our arrangements will be posted on our website as soon as possible.

Best wishes, and stay safe!
