Cody Dock wins 3 London in Bloom 2019 Awards

The London in Bloom (LiB) annual awards recognise the individuals and community groups who do most to improve the natural environment and make London a brighter place by keeping the capital blooming.

After winning RHS gold last year with both our community gardens and work with local businesses, we’ve set the standard high for this year for both these categories. And the results couldn’t be any better! We won in both categories and in another one, receiving 3 awards in total:

Outstanding in the category It’s Your Neighbourhood: Cody Road and South Crescent Business Group – meaning our new drought-resistant gravel garden was well-received along with the wider gardens cared for by our hard-working volunteers.

Gold in the category Our Community: Cody Rd & South Crescent In Bloom Business Group for joining forces with local businesses on the industrial estate to improve biodiversity and greenspace in South Crescent.

Finally, the RHS National Certificate of Distinction for Cody Road and South Crescent Business Group, Newham that recognises the efforts community groups make to brighten up the local community through their gardening, biodiversity and horticultural work. In our case, an industrial estate in East London by the River Lea.
